We are seeking a dedicated and professional driver to join our team in Cranston, RI. As a Professional Driver (Taxi Driver), you will be responsible for driving a motor vehicle, to transport solely Veteran Passengers as requested by the Providence VA. Your role will involve picking up passengers in response to radio or telephone relayed requests for service. You will track mileage or time factor, record the transaction on a log, and report by radio or telephone to a central location on completion of the trip.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a motor vehicle, with or without a taximeter, to transport passengers for the Providence VA.
- Pick up passengers in response to radio or telephone relayed requests for service.
- Assist Passengers to and from vehicle at pick up and drop off location.
- Record the transaction on a log and report by radio or telephone to a central location on completion of the trip.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Knowledge of local streets and routes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to operate a vehicle safely and responsibly.
- Pass pre-employment drug screen
